WILW: My Top 10 Webtoon Comics
Back in October, I shared that I'd discovered a Greek myth inspired digital comic on an app, Webtoon. I’ve never been into comics, so I was sure that was a one time thing, but only six months later, I find myself having a difficult time narrowing down my favorite comics to a list of ten. I am now subscribed to 25 comics (most release a new episode each week) and I can say that I am officially hooked.
So without further ado, my list of my ten favorite digital comics:
Lore Olympus, Rachel Smythe
This comic follows the story of Persephone and Hades in a modern day setting--a very sheltered Persephone leaves her mother and the mortal world to attend school in Olympus, and gets a little tangled up in the gods' drama.
Let’s Play, Mongie
Sam is an independent game developer working a day job for her father’s business, but when a ViewTube personality unfairly reviews her game, and his followers tank her game score, it looks like her dev career has come to an end. To make matters worse, the ViewTube star moves in next door.
Siren’s Lament, instantmiso
In this explanation of the fantasy behind sirens (mermaids), a siren’s kiss will cure a broken heart— erasing the human’s memory and trading their legs for fins, and the siren’s fins for legs. But this cure (or curse) doesn’t take with Lyla. She remains a human as her memory starts deteriorating, and her friends try to break the curse any way they can.
Unlovable Replacement, nylana
When pizza girl shows up shortly before his ex-girlfriend arrives to collect her belongings, Chiko pays her to pretend she’s his new girlfriend. But it ends up being a little more complicated than that when the pizza girl recognizes his girlfriend.
True Beauty, Yaongyi
After being humiliated and ostracized for her acne and appearance, Jugyeong learns how to do her make up before she starts at a new school, where she is regarded as one of the prettiest girls. Everything is going great until she runs into one of her study group pals at a comic store without makeup on. And he recognizes her.
Ghost Wife, Saejung
Ever look out of the window and see something weird? Liz finds herself being chased by spirits that want to eat her after she meets a strange ghost boy and learns the only way to get the spirits to leave her alone is to become his "ghost wife." This comic is in equal parts cute and horrifying.
Freaking Romance, Snailords

Third Shift Society, Meredith Moriarty

Edith is an unhappy, yet successful writer who dreams of romance, but just can’t find her prince charming in a grungy New York-esque city.
Soul on Hold, AustenMarie
Shit starts getting weird when Ayden makes a deal with an entity to save the life of his high school girlfriend. And it just keeps getting weirder.
Muted, Miranda Mundt
