WILW: Florence

I discovered Florence on my quest for a good mobile/Switch game to play in bed. It won an Editor’s Award in the Apple App store, and went on to win 2018’s Mobile Game of the Year at the Game Awards a couple months ago.

Florence follows two characters as they meet, grow, and inevitably fall apart. It’s intuitive and easy to play, enough so that I would recommend it to “non-gamers.”

For me, the illustration and soundtrack were easily worth the two dollars I paid for the game, and Gus actually likes to click into it every now and then to listen to the music. You can find the soundtrack on Spotify here, and we also included some of my favorite tracks from Florence in this month’s playlist here.

I really enjoyed my experience playing Florence, and my only complaint is that I wish there was more! Can’t wait to see what this team does next.

Xx
